Some Situational abilities require Spirit, but generally none of them generate Spirit.The ability so use some Situational Skills is further limited by cooldowns. Spirit is accumulated as the Monk enters combat and activates a Spirit Builder ability.Spirit Builder skills generate Spirit while Spirit Spender skills spend Spirit. Monks draw upon an inner reserve of Spirit to execute attacks. The effects of a Runestone include increasing damage or decreasing cooldowns, applying CC effects like a stun or slow or turning a single target damage skill into an AoE monster. The effect and/or damage of an Aktive Skill can be further modified by applying Runestones. As the Monk exits combat, remaining Spirit neither regenerates nor depletes but remains as is. Accumulated Spirit depletes as the Monk executes Spirit Spender abilities. Spirit builds up as the Monk makes use of Spirit Builder skills. The skills and abilities of the Monk are powered by Spirit, a source of spiritual energy. A master of melee, the skills of the Monk encompass a variety of abilities emphasizing the Monks talent for dealing and dodging damage in close quarter melee combat. The skills and abilities of the Monk are divided into Active Skills and Passive Skills, with Active Skills further divided into Spirit Builders, Spirit Spenders and Situational abilities.
